Button Head Socket Drive Socket Head

Don't be fooled by the name "Sheet Metal". These fasteners are another widely used item for building wooden models because they simply work better than wood screws! Both of these screws are Socket Drive. You can use a Ball Driver or ordinary Hex (Allen) wrench with them. The Button Head is very popular because it has a low-profile Head. They look great on the cowl, canopy, etc. And, they are really nice to work with. Ball Driver can get in at an angle and is not likely to slip.
When using these screws on a cowl, or any other area that vibrates, you should consider using Nylon Washers. The nylon material will absorb some of the shock and reduce the chances of the screw vibrating loose! The nylon also helps protect the plastic or fiberglass cowl or canopy from cracking.
